Harmony of the Seas Cruise Review by KCPilot
- Sail Date: June 2018
- Destination: Eastern Caribbean
We are in our 40's and took our two boys (10 and 14) for the 1st time.
At first glance this ship is amazing. Actually I mean it is an amazing ship and 1st time cruisers should be very happy. Overall we loved the ship. We found it to be very clean, good food, good entertainment and very friendly staff. If this was my 1st cruise I would highly recommend this ship.
With that said it just depends on what you enjoy in a cruise. Personally, we like to party more than relax. Although this ship does have it's party moments, the Carnival ships seem to really bring the party compared to RC.
There are plenty of different things to keep you busy all night. But for us we love to Karaoke and Dance. The Karaoke bar is only open for 1.5 hours each night and is held in one of the smallest rooms on the ship. It was always packed so you couldn't get a seat unless you showed up early. They should really pick a different room for Karaoke and have it longer.
As far as the dance club, it was a good room for it but didn't start until 11:30 each night. Again we like to party and don't need to go to bed early but would like to start dancing before 11:30.
The shows were good overall as you can imagine they aren't booking Vegas or NYC talent for the shows so the performance won't blow you away but still fun.
The food was nothing to get excited about except for Johnny Rockets was amazing in my opinion.
Our boys had a great time with the water activities and age specific activities. They loved it all but again this is their 1st cruise.
So in our opinion, this is a good overall cruise that offers a little something for everyone. However, if you like to party more than relax then look at Carnival. If you want more of a laid back feel then go with RC.
