The disembarkation port of Budapest had no transport to our hotel included. We booked our own accommodation which was near to the Scenic choice of hotel Marriott. This was discriminatory.
The ship was good, it was clean, and fully ready by the time guests arrived. The cabins were as advertised and cleaned daily to a high standard.
The dining part of the experience was definitely below 5 star. Breakfasts and lunch were good but the dinner meal was well below standard. At times the meals were under cooked, cold eg, caesar salad was a cos lettuce cut in half with two strips of bacon, two anchovies and dressing, all on a plate. As for lobster tails, not cooked and when making a complaint, the dining room manager refused to accept that the lobster was not cooked even with the evidence clearly visible.
Response from FionaB, The Scenic Team
