My wife & I have been on dozens of cruises before (to the Caribbean, Alaska, etc.) but we wanted to try Viking River Cruises this time as we both have roots in Germany. Overall, this was a spectacular cruise experience for us. We especially like that there was only 180 passengers so we got to know many of them pretty quickly.
The food was amazing, especially for my wife who has numerous food allergies. If the menu didn't have a viable option for her, the dining staff made something especially for her how's that for service!
The shore excursions were all very nice. Some of the docking places could have been better situated and some needed updated lighting, but we always felt safe.
Cabin was a bit small, but you're only using it to sleep and change clothes. The views from the French Balcony were spectacular.
