I chose this cruise to get an idea of what the different islands had to offer. The overall cruise was nice but there were some disappointments and frustrations. Our cabin maid was great but the location of our cabin was in the very front and I who rarely get seasick found myself quite nauseous at times. The whole crew was fabulous, kind and helpful. The onboard entertainment was good. The biggest disappointment was not going to the Big Island due to volcanic activity. So they took away two ports but only gave us one in return. The biggest frustration was I inquired at the customer service desk for help in knowing what types of transportation services were available at port and they said there weren’t any. But when I got off the ship there were taxis and several buses that went to different locations. I felt that the customer service desk was not knowledgeable in the very things that they are paid to know. For anyone taking this cruise when you get to Kauai there is transportation right at the pier. Also I felt the excursions were way over priced. Considering that there are usually large groups attending these activities I feel they should offer group discounts instead of gouging you for every dollar you earn. Price wise you are better off booking independently. Every excursion the ship offers is over $100.00 per person
