To be honest, husband and I were not certain of cruising. We are the type that when we vacation we get up first thing in the morning and are moving and exploring all day. We both, especially me, get motion sick so that was another worry. But when my parents paid for a trip for us adult kids to go on a family cruise, we reluctantly accepted.

We absolutely loved the entire experience! And are watching for "deals" so we can take another cruise.

The staff was so attentive and kind. The food was amazing. The entertainment was great. The ports and excursions were all good (except for St. Lucia). We loved every minute of it and found ourselves enjoying just relaxing. We found that relaxing is a very good thing on vacation!

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2C

Cabin 2C

We were in cabin 7017. We had seen very few reviews on the cabin so weren't sure what to expect. It was perfectly fine. There was so much storage space that at times we forgot where we had put something. The only place we felt like we were in each others way was at the closet in the hallway, but we figured it out.

Port Reviews

Barbados

We took a cab to George Washington's house and took a tour there. After, we walked back to the ship along the beach. It was my first time walking on such beautiful and soft sand! I couldn't believe I was there. I quickly fell in love with white soft sand and crystal blue oceans!! We enjoyed a beautiful and leisurely stroll back to the ship. There were the typical tourist shops at the cruise port that were fun to poke around in. Bought some local vanilla there as a gift.

St. Thomas

We hired a cab for the sole purpose of going to Herbie's for banana daiquiris, as recommended by friends. The cab driver was great, he gave us a lot of history of the city and island and took us to some really spectacular views. Unfortunately Herbie's was closed as we were the only ship in port that day.
