To start with, I was apprehensive about the length of this cruise with the first 7 days at sea. I was especially concerned about communications using wifi while at sea (I'm still working, unlike the majority of passengers) and also how rough the waters might be and if I'd feel sick. I never once felt sick (and I've been seasick on cruises before) and the wifi was fantastic.
I cruised with my sister who was flying into Miami from San Francisco. I live in FL so I drove and parked my car at the Miami Airport for our convenience when we would eventually fly back to the US. My sister took a red-eye the night before, but the flight had to be diverted for a medical emergency, so she missed her connecting flight to Miami when she arrived in Atlanta. Delta got her on the next flight so she was only an hour and a half later than originally planned. Unfortunately, her bag didn't make the flight so we had to wait until it finally arrived. We took an Uber to the pier since the NCL shuttle stopped their service and we were able to check in with only an hour to sail! Check in was super smooth and fast.
We upgraded to a two-bedroom, two-bath suite (I questioned the added expense until I walked in the room) and it was fantastic! The service and added amenities were well worth the extra expense. So much so that I didn't want the cruise to end!
Fantastic! See my review above.
