A friend chose this cruise based on the ports. I could not have been happier with the ship, tours, food, and service. Everything was well taken care of. The food never felt mass produced as it often does on a big ship. It felt like each meal was made specially for me. Our waiters (Agus and Constantine) and bartender (Carmen) made us feel like we were their only guests. There were 6 in my group - they asked our names, remembered, & we were each greeted by name all week. They remembered food & drink preferences also of course making us feel cared for. Our cruise manager (Talida) made sure that all odds & ends were taken care of seemingly all across the ship & land with no seemingly no time when she might sleep! It worked wonderfully to stop at ports right on towns where we could just walk on & off the ship without worrying about buses etc.. Excursions were well planned & we had no wait time - it left when they said it would leave. No lining up, no waiting around to be called. It was all just right. I would definitely go again on a similar cruise & choose AmaWaterways.
