Sirena Cruise Review by fuggie
Trip Details
- Sail Date: February 2018
- Destination: Around the World
We chose the cruise because of the itinerary. Unfortunately, a number of people became ill early on and we were on red alert for 9 days! Not the fault of the cruise line, who handled the problem extremely well, but it didn't help with the overall enjoyment of the cruise.
The staff were super and friendly. The food in Red ginger was super flavourful and our favourite. However, twice I was sick after the dinner, most probably due to contamination from gluten (I am celiac) although the staff tried very hard, there is definitely an undetected ingredient. But the food in the main dining room was very spotty! Generally the appetizers were outstanding, the soups completely uninspiring, the salads ok, the vegetables boring (steamed broccoli and cauliflower! ) and the meat usually overcooked or undercooked! People we met after it was over said this was their 5th Oceania cruise and definitely the lowest quality of food preparation of them all.
