We just returned from our 1st cruise on Celebrity. We were on the Celebrity Silhouette. This was our 12th cruise. We are a couple both in our 50's. We really enjoyed our cruise with Celebrity. It will definitley not be our last.
Going thru Checkin was a breeze. We were on the ship very quickly, and on before 11 AM. We went to the buffet area and found a big table for 6. It was my husband, myself and 2 other couples. The buffet was very impressive. Hands down best buffet we have experienced on a ship. Only annoying thing was being asked 3 times in a matter of minutes about purchasing the drink package.
After eating we walked around the top deck, then went to find our room. We had to wait maybe 5 more minutes and at 1 PM the rooms were ready. 1 Piece of our luggage had arrived and we got it unpacked. We did a little more exploring and then came back to room and unpacked the remainer of our things.
Great size. Very clean. We loved it!
We didn't get to port and able to leave ship until 3:30. We walked around Old San Juan. Very beautiful City.
We went to Marigot. Walked up Fort Louis. The views were incredible. We did some shopping in the Market. We then went to Maho beach and watched a few planes land. Then walked to Mullet Bay. The water was just too rough to do much. St Maarten is beautiful. You could see a lot of devastation from the hurricanes. I really felt so bad for the local people. But they were so happy to see us. We were thanked so much for coming to their island.
