We left from Barcelona and ended here. We did not experience Barcelona via NCL. We stayed in Barcelona after the cruise ended. And, made our own arrangements. Barcelona is spectacular. Make sure to take the time to stay here for a few days (a week or two if you can).

Barcelona

As reported in the primary review, we took the Rabat excursion. I'd say forego it. You might be able to make better arrangements on your own. Be careful and plan ahead. Do your research.

Casablanca

We walked from the port to the theatre - a very very long walk. It was beautiful. Just wandered and experienced the atmosphere.

Las Palmas (Gran Canaria)

Gorgeous city and island. Another day of wandering and experiencing culture.

Tenerife

Spectacular city. I would go back and see more if I could. Our excursion name isn't listed here. So, in general, this is my overall opinion. We could not go up to the mountain, as there was snow.

We made our way to the caves using the city bus. It was significantly less expensive (under 5 Euro round trip). If you do this, go early. Make sure to get off the bus at the caves and not in the city of Nerja. We didn't know that the city stop wasn't the end of the line (everyone got off at this stop but there is a stop at the caves after the city stop). We ended up walking from the city center to the caves - a very long walk. The cave visiting times do book up. By the time we got in to see the caves, we didn't have time to get back to the ship. We did get lucky and there were some other people from the cruise that had gone by taxi. They let us share the ride back and we did get back on time. The caves are quite interesting.

Another city I would go back to explore, again. We wandered on our own. The castle has beautiful views of the city. I would love to spend more time here.

Alicante

First night my mother ordered "Thai green curry chicken.The guide was knowledgeable but, for the most part, we couldn't really go into all but one of the sites.
