This Christmas Markets tour was exactly what we were looking for. It was cold, but we were prepared for that. Walking, enjoying the cities and towns decorated beautifully. The Christmas markets were full of food and craft vendors and most cities had several markets that we were able to visit on our own, so we could walk at our own pace, shop and enjoy the atmosphere. Lots of free time in multiple cities on this river cruise. All locations were very easy to get to right from the dock. It got dark about 5:30, so we were able to enjoy night lights too. The Avalon Vista accommodations were spacious enough with a beautifully appointed bathroom. Restaurant staff was efficient and never had trouble with seating in the dining room -- the dinners were excellent and had several choices. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The tours were well organized. And we had several evenings of very good entertainment which was a pleasant surprise for a river cruise on a smaller ship. We definitely will do this one again.
