I ate lunch in the main dining room, at least I think it was the main dining room. There was no dining room called "Main" on the ship but Royal Caribbean keeps referring to the main dining room so it's hard to know which dining room is the main dining room. I also don't remember what the dining room was called, I think it was Isaac's Dining Room but I'm not positive. Anyway this was my only experience in a dining room and I was not impressed. The problem wasn't with the dining room itself, I think that I am not a dining room type of person, I like the buffet experience a lot more. The Windjammer buffet had good food and a large variety of food. There were seating problems in the Windjammer at times, one time we were asked to leave to make room for others. One of the soda machines also didn't work, it would go into a maintenance mode every time you tried to get soda from it.

Elevators seemed to be over full more often on this ship than on my previous cruise. My cabin was on the port side aft so I tended to use the port side aft elevators most often. One of the port side aft elevators was out of service for the entire cruise. I also think part of the overcrowded elevator problem was the lack of elevators. On my previous cruise the ship had elevators forward, mid-ship and aft, Freedom just had elevators forward and aft.

The odds in the Casino seemed to favor the casino more than they did on my previous cruise. The blackjack tables had higher odds than on my previous cruise and it seems a lot harder to win anything on the slots. This didn't stop people from using the casino but it makes it appear that Royal Caribbean is trying to nickle and dime their guests to death.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin L

This was my second cruise so I don't have a lot to compare this to. The worst part was my cabin, number 1667. I chose an interior cabin because of the price and because I had a balcony on my first cruise and hardly used it since I spent very little time in my cabin. The layout of the interior cabin in horrible when configured with 1 queen bed. You have to crawl over the bed to get to 2 of the lights, the 2 lights I used most. They put the phone on one of the night stands and you have to crawl over the bed to get to the phone, I found that the cord on the phone was long enough to put the phone on the desk. It was nice having a sofa and coffee table in the cabin but I think the cabin could be configured better without the sofa and coffee table and I could get by without them. The shower was too small, if you dropped the bar of soap you had to get out of the shower to pick it up, I think a soap dispenser next to the shampoo dispenser would be better. On the plus side there is lots of storage in the cabin. I should also mention that I was the only person staying in this cabin.
