My husband and I had a wonderful trip aboard the Freedom of the Seas. The staff members were wonderful, the main dining experience was exceptional, thanks to Reynante and Kevin! They are the standard by which others should be judged, exceptional. The ports of call were newly readded from hurricane damage but the overall experience was exceptional. We witnessed damage on some of the islands but that is to be expected from such a catastrophic event. The ports and the excursions were very safe and aesthetically pleasing. We prefer Royal Caribbean for our cruising vacations. Our shore excursions were enjoyable and the islands were simply beautiful. So I will tell you that the artisans in Hati were very "assertive" if not borderline aggressive. They tried to trick us into taking merchandise that we did not want or pay for. I have heard stories that they will then accuse you of stealing, so be on guard. Several times they tried to give my husband a bag, stating I had purchased the items when he could see me at another area, so be warned! But the Dragon's Breath zip line is worth the trip!!
