This was our second avtrip on Divina. We were aboard her when Hurricane Irma hit and we spent several extra days in Cozumel until the Port of Miami reopened. We had such a good experience on that cruise that we jumped at the chance to take Divina again for a little longer Caribbean cruise.

The ship itself is extraordinarily nice. The decor is impressive, the public areas are plentiful and there are multiple activities for almost anyone. The crew never failed to impress us with their courtesy and dedication to treating the passengers as very special people. This time for whatever reason embarkation at the Port of Miami was significantly delayed, leaving a very large amount of passengers sitting around waiting. For whatever reason MSC's PA system wasn't working so their representatives had to call out groups of passengers over the noise volume, which wasn't all that successful, Nonetheless was were able to board about 1:00 and from then on everything worked perfectly.

The cabin as clean and comfortable. This time we had a balcony cabin which actually seemed to have less storage room than the oceanview room we had in November. There were two negatives - the flat screen TV is tiny and, for whatever reason the room developed a smell of sewage a few times, always around 5:00 PM. The smell went away promptly but still.... . We had perhaps the best cabin steward we have ever had on more than 26 sailings which more than made up for the minor inconveniences noted.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B2

A standard balcony cabin. :Pleasant, ample space on the balcony for two seated with a small table. Inside the typical 2 bed layout either configured together or as twins at your option. Storeage space was somewhat tight but we managed, The upkeep and cleanliness of our cabin was outstanding as was our cabin steward Kendal Francisco Hernandez. He took excellent care of us. The room was always made up when needed, If you get either him or his wife as steward you will be well taken care of. As I mentioned in my review above there were several occurrences of an unpleasant smell which came into the room several times, always around 5:00 PM. Because of this I would suggest that you not select this cabin if given a choice.
