Embarkation was very fast. We had received notification that the boarding was to begin a little later due to cleaning because of Norovirus. The ship is beautiful! We went directly to our cabin. Grand Suite. It was beautiful! That evening we had dinner with Mystery Theater, dinner was amazing, the filet was delicious!!! Dinner was at (Giovanni's Table). Dinner in the Main Dining Room was fair. The Head Waiter Monica was absolutely on top of everything. She was visible during every dinner. Or Asst. Waitress was Nina also amazing.. I can not say enough about the service and how wonderful it was in the Dining Room. The food I am sad to say was not. I personally sent dinner back one night and got another entrée because it just didn't taste good. I hate complaining.. Breakfast in Chops in the morning was alright. I had sailed on Freedom before so the Entertainment was fine.( not once did anyone ask if we would like a drink.(if you wanted one you had to wait at the bar) Solarium was clean with plenty of chairs, (we did see a lot of chair hogs). Not once did anyone come and ask us if we would like a drink.. (we went to the bar to get our own) Not many servers on the deck. (Overall there are not many waiters anywhere) We booked the rail and sail on St Kitts.. the rail was awful, it was long with fumes blowing in our face. drinks were very strong but not tasty. , the catamaran was great. The yacht was booked for Labadee we spent the morning at the beach then took the yacht, it was amazing! San Juan was great, we walked around Old San Juan and got back on the ship. St. Marteen was so sad. We walked around a bit and shopped but many people were begging and asking for you to enter their stores. We did purchase things but we were uncomfortable and just bought and left. They are working on rebuilding . It was always my favorite island! Public Rest Rooms on the island were not maintained and they have a way to go. Overall The food was not great. I also noticed there many electric scooters.I have never sailed this early in January and was surprised on how many elderly people were on this cruise. Over all the trip was alright. Freedom was my favorite ship!
