We chose this for a family vacation, and unfortunately did not have a good experience. When we arrived our cabin that was "ready" had a pile of dirty sheets on the sofa, the sheets on the bed were stained, and the crib we arranged to be in the cabin was collapsed on the side of the wall. We needed to call housekeeping twice for new sheets for the bed, and a sheet for the crib. My husband ended up setting the crib up himself.

I felt as if the ship was short staffed, as any bar you would go to would take at least 5-10 minutes to order a drink/soda. The dining experience was also poor, one evening my husband ordered a beer, we had to ask the server for it twice, we finally saw them bring it to the side counter where it sat for 10 minutes. No sign of our server so i eventually just went up and grabbed it for him.

Also, we did travel with our 1 year old son. Lesson learned, Carnival Cruise does not have accommodations for a little one of his age. No changing stations in the public/community restrooms on the ship. Before our room was ready I needed to change my son's diaper, and ended up doing so on the bathroom sink/counter. The family play time in the kids room was very limited, and he wasn't allowed in the pools/or put his feet in the water as he wasn't potty trained. So there was nothing for him to do on the ship.
