Full disclosure: this was my first time on NCL and i have been on many Royal Caribbean cruises. Had this been my first cruise, I'm sure my review would be more positive. Food was great, water slides great, accomodations great. Staff overall was very mediocre and not very friendly. Every time eating in the formal dining room for dinner, orders were wrong and took a long time. One example is my son ordering a burger and fries. He politely asked for katchup 3 different times - it still never came! Also, there was a dude who was overseeing the tube water slide ride at the bottom. The person before him would let kids go up if there were only kids tubes while adults waited for an adult tube. This person had a different policy and made my son feel real bad about doing something wrong when he went up to get a tube. Obviously consistency is huge - and on top of that, social awareness! I'd be willing to spend more money for a friendlier level of service - it's just what i value. The sushi, steakhouse, and brazlian steakhouse were awesome. Was surprised to learn that a $200 massage does not get you access to steam and jacuzzi in the spa access on that same day.
