We had a fantastic time staying in the Haven Family Suite on the Norwegian Breakaway sailing out of NYC! The service was fantastic. When we arrived to the pier we past all the people waiting in line and were escorted to the Haven waiting area. In about 30 minutes, we were able to board. We were greeted with hamburger sliders and very yummy french fries along with amazing fruit punch. My kids requested the fruit punch every day after that, it was that good! I was traveling with my husband, my 12 year old son, 11 year old daughter, and 5 year old daughter. We were able to go to our room within about an hour of boarding. The room is awesome! We had plenty of space for all five of us. Tons of storage space! Living space with couch that turns into a bed in the evening. A room with another bed that sleeps two and a pull down bunk, and the master with a king size bed and huge bathroom with soaking tub overlooking the ocean and great shower also overlooking the ocean! The linens on the bed were amazingly soft and we made special pillow requests so everyone was comfortable. Our butler Jeffrey was great and our room steward Don was awesome! Every afternoon around 2:30 we received mini sandwiches, chocolate covered strawberries, m&ms, gummy bears. This was a big hit with the kids. We also could go to the Haven pool area and get the best banana bread, cookies, and pound cake! It was awesome to be able to swim and relax in the Jacuzzi even when it was snowing outside when we left NYC! We loved being able to go to the Haven area to enjoy a quiet space away from the hustle and bustle of the ship! The Haven restaurant was fantastic. The service was amazing, the food was great, and the convenience and tranquility was worth every penny! We enjoyed the magic show, Burn the Floor, Cirque Jungle show (which was great), many of the trivia games in the Atrium, movies, and more! It was great to have access to several new movies in our room for free! We are already looking to book our next cruise in the Haven! Great Stirrup Cay was our favorite stop! The beach was beautiful white sand and crystal clear water! There was a special section saved for the Haven guests. On our last day we quickly disembarked, past non haven guests who were waiting in very long lines. It was an amazing family vacation!

Cabin Review

The Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa with Balcony

Cabin H4

Amazing room! Plenty of space for a family of 5! The room was always very clean. Lots of storage space for clothes, shoes, make up, toiletries, etc. This made the vacation more relaxing for me because I hate clutter. The room was made up every day and then turned down every night before bed. Having two bathrooms was great! The master bath is awesome with an great soaking tub overlooking the ocean. 3 TV's made it convenient for everyone to watch something of their choice. The linens on the bed were so soft and comfortable.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

We were able to see NYC at Christmas time. We visited Rockefeller Center and saw the big Christmas Tree, walked down fifth Ave to check out all the amazing window displays, took a carriage ride through Central Park, and visited time square. It was fun, but very expensive, and very busy!

Nassau

We went to Junkanoo Beach in Nassua. It was ok. We rented a chair and umbrella for $25. It is very touristy and small. The water was pretty. We ate some bbq chicken, plantains, and fried fish which was all very tasty! We took a taxi from the ship to and from the beach which cost us $40 total. I was not a huge fan of this stop.

Great Stirrup Cay

Great Stirrup Cay was awesome! We loved the white sand beach (very soft sand), and the crystal clear calm waters. It was great to have clean restrooms, showers, and different food options very close by. We would love to go back to GSC!
