I wouldn't have picked this cruise if it was just my wife and my daughter going but my grandfather picked this as a Christmas gift for our family(11 of us) I knew Holland America was an older crowd but we made the best of it. I'm not saying we are party animals but getting caught behind people with canes, walkers, and scooters all the time is not fun.

We stayed in a balcony room (7017). The room was nice and had enough storage for all our clothes. The ship was clean and the food was very good, especially the main dining. The pizza joint was a staple for our families and so was the Burger joint. Both were excellent! Our room steward was excellent(Shout out to Andy)

The ship doesn't have a ton of things to do(no mini putt, running track, rock climbing wall, skating rink or roller blading track. It had a basketball court and inside theatre. It had the usual bingo and art gallery that every ship has. No one hassling you to play games in the pool as there were none.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

Cabin VF

Excellent cabin with plenty of storage and spacious bathroom. Bath robes in closet.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

Just walked off the ship to the beach which is right off the pier. Also went to Margaritaville which is also just off the pier to use the pool after being on the beach most of the day. Walk down the beach to the yellow shack, they have the best jerk chicken and pork and at a great price! Plus $3 local beer!

St. Thomas

We were supposed to go to St Maarten but they had to change it due to the hurricane. We shopped in town first then got a taxi to take us around. Very reasonable. They showed us what the hurricane has done to the island. Very sad.
