Sail Date: Nov 2017
Cabin: Studio

I was looking for a solo cruise experience and NCL has the Studio cabins for this purpose. Overall I had a nice time but there were some general issues with the room and the ship layout that caused some irritation but nothing that was trip ruining. I have some concerns with the studio cabin listed below. The ship itself is an odd design. Other reviewer have commented on the layout being cumbersome. I would have to agree. It does not allow for the flow of people easily. The desk with the casino is kind of gross full of smoke and people you have to dodge. The central hub of the ship is not central and vertical movement is limited to 3 floors and there are no central elevators. Food was really good. and the staff were really nice. I did not go on any excursions but enjoyed my walks around the ports of call. Entertainment was awesome, the theater shows were fun and the Ice Bar is a fun place to adventure. They charge but I knew that and they provide two martinis in Ice glasses. I might try again on a newer ship.

Cabin Review

Studio

Studio cabins were overall a good size. I had issues with my shower (shower head broken and leaking and the drain clogged with hair); I also noticed I had a room with an ajoining door to another studio cabin and that was not sound proof. The toilet cubby is waayyyy to small. I am 150 pounds 5'10 man (so normal weight average height and build) I had to leave the door open to have enough room to use the toilet.

Port Reviews

Falmouth

Really, Really nice cruise port!

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

I am surprised we are tendering here. I thought the island was a tax haven for money...the port should be developed for ships to dock.

Great Stirrup Cay

This place is cool but the tendering process sort of ruins the day.
