I chose this cruise because it fit perfectly with our school break dates being a teacher this is very important. It was also sailing in Europe so I could get to and from the boat in time for school on Monday. This was my second sailing on the Star and the boat is small but easy to navigate. I find the bigger boats more entertaining with more things to do.

I stayed in room 11611 which is directly under the buffet which means I didn't get much sleep as there is always something going on up there. I could hear them cooking and dropping plates at all hours of the day. I would not recommend this room however when I sailed on her out of Tampa I had no problems with my balcony room, and that was one of my all time favorite cruises. I did have this cruise comped from Casinos at Sea so I was not upset about the poor cabin with the price I paid.

The first night of my cruise I was eating in Cagney's my favorite onboard restaurant. I like to eat early and I was eating as the restaurant opened. The restaurant manager came in and was upset about the night before's dinner serving. He started raising his voice and threatening staff while I was eating dinner. Putting them on 24 hour babysitting and other threats, unfortunately, this was not the only mention of the threat of being moved to a lower job position for making a mistake that I heard from the crew on this ship. It continued through two courses. He was also exceptionally rude on my last night after I had eaten there for 4 nights out of the 7-night sailing. That to me was the worst part of the trip.
