My husband and I choose Viking because of the great reviews from friends and PBS.
We had never taken a river cruise before but will do it again. There were so many wonderful experiences that contribute to us sailing Viking again.
I believe the Alruna is a beautiful ship because of its beautiful staff and crew and the homey, comfortable feeling you have on board.
Cabin Review
Cabin Veranda mini suite
We upgraded to a mini suite when we arrived on board and it was wonderful. We really enjoyed the extra room. The first room was just too cramped for a 6’5 man. Yes, it had a veranda but we couldn’t walk around the bed with out falling over. I realize you don’t spend a lot of time in the room, but the time you do spend you want to be manageable and enjoyable, and not miserable and frustrating. The bath rooms were very well appointed and the showers in both rooms were bigger than most cruises. Thank you for that.
