Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

it had been over 4 years since i last cruised with RC and over 5 with the Inde who is due for a refit later this year, apart a few bits of wear and tear the ship still looked good.

the independence is popular with both guests and crew and feels like a happy ship.

the cabin, we had a balcony which puts most other popular lines to shame, bigger balcony, more room inside and in the bathroom and very well laid out

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

very spacious, i could have slept on the sofa, bathroom enough room and an excellent shower, plenty of storage space, very comfortable bed, and plenty of room on the balcony even with 2 chairs and a table, difficult to fault

Port Reviews

Malaga

i like malaga, it is a busy city which is not my usual preference but they have made a real effort to make it as good as they can and i enjoyed a wander around

the walk to the castle is worth it

Cartagena (Spain)

did my own thing, i should prefer it to malaga but i don't, it is ok but lacks something, there is a castle and roman ruins and a decent shopping area, other people rave about it so perhaps it's just me

Toulon

i did a RC ship tour to Cassellet, a medieval village, had a brief tour round with the escort - very good, then to a restaurant for wine - only one glass, pity 2 glasses are so much better than one - a few typical tip bits to eat and then free time

i enjoyed it and the coach was modern and the countryside was very pleasant but it was not cheap

Gibraltar

i did my own thing, plenty of history and plenty of shops to browse, you can do your own thing or take a local trip, just as good as ship's tour but cheaper

Lisbon

you can walk off and be in the city as we were or sometimes you can be a fair way from the city where you will need a shuttle bus

there are the ship's tours which again are not cheap, there hop on hop off buses or you can walk around, plenty to see in lisbon - another city that i like despite the fact it is a city
