Sail Date: Oct 2017
Cabin: Deluxe Obstructed Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony
Traveled with children

I was always wondering what an obstructed view meant. This room was on the 6th floor. I travelled with my wife and 2 children ages 9 and 7. The king sized bed was excellent. The bed for the kids was a sofa that had a trundle feature. You pull the bottom mattress out from under the sofa. It was even and comfortable. They had plenty of room. The bathroom was small(as usual) but clean and modern. The balcony was spacious and the sliding doors opened wide.

The obstruction was that this floor is directly above the life boats. So, the balcony looks out fine. You can look for and aft perfectly. When you look down, you see the tops of the orange life boats. So, when in port, you can't see the walkway on the pier, but you can look out and see everything else. To me, it was a non factor the entire cruise.
