I choose this cruise because it had several of the port cities I have especially wanted to see -- Dubrovnik, Rome, Barcelona, Toulon/Provence -- so booked the 10 day portion only of the cruise. Princess is our favorite cruise line and we have sailed almost twenty times with them, they just seem to have the best value for cruises. Only a couple of minor issues but we overcame them. Will the food was actually quite good from the Horizon on this cruise, service was spotty at best. Not sure why I have to keep flagging down staff to get a cup of coffee in the mornings when he's been past the table next to mine 3 times and not offered to our table. Same with some service in the Piazza. But you know what, that's not a big deal, I just remember better service on many previous sailings. Excellent cabin steward though and he made up for these minor infractions. Disembarkation was a bit of a mess as we got no communication or documentation for disembarkation. We've sailed so many times and we were doing a walk off so it didn't matter but if this was our first cruise with a plane to catch on the same day we might have run into serious issues. Regardless we will continue to sail with Princess and continue to recommend them every chance we get.
