I always recommend Royal Carribean, not the best for toddlers under 3

This last cruise was my third with Royal Caribbean. It was a 7 day cruise and was originally set to cruise to ports that were devastated by the recent hurricanes such as Puerto Rico and St. Maartan. We were pretty upset with the changed itinerary since we have already been to Mexico and the Bahamas. We were never offered an option to cancel or reschedule our cruise which we may have done.

We embarked and disembarked in Ft. Lauderdale and had no issues. No lines and got faster check-in due to having a toddler and a 9-yr-old.

The rooms were nice and a decent size but the beds were uncomfortable. We had a king size bed and a sofa that turned into a twin size bed. I requested an extra mattress cover to help with the stiffness of the bed but it did not help. We also requested a small fridge in the room and a play yard for my toddler which was waiting in the room when we arrived. Rooms were ready at 1PM and luggage was there not too long after.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

This was where we departed, did not have time to see the area.

Costa Maya

We got off the boat for about an hour and saw all there was to see. All the shops pretty much have the same high-priced items. No ATM's were available so make sure you bring cash. There is a large beautiful pool in the middle of the port which was neat. This port was by far the nicest. If it wasn't so hot we may have ventured further into the port.

Nassau

I dislike going to the Bahamas but due to the change of ports due to the hurricane's we had no choice. The people there are so rude and only care about making a buck. Nothing special to see, too many shops with the same over-priced items and the area is dirty.
