We stayed in Rome 3 days before boarding the Epic. Highly recommend you do the same, so much to see and do. It was nice to ease into the time difference, instead of immediately boarding the ship.

As for the Ship, staff was amazing, with many of them remembering you and your name. Food was outstanding with lots of dining choices of where to eat and what to eat. We only went to the buffet twice for breakfast and no other time. Entertainment was more professional then l expected (l have been on 10 +) cruises and found in the past some of the entertainment hard to sit thru. On this cruise, I wanted to go see both headlining shows TWICE. They were that good. The Dueling pianos were great also. Casino was the biggest l have seen on a ship.

The gym had a good selection of machines, and wasn't busy when l was there (7-8am). We also had the thermal SPA package, multiple hot tubs, saunas, etc. It was a busy week on the ship with only one day at sea.

Cabin Review

Spa Suite

Cabin H9

Cabin was roomy, shower was amazing (rain shower head and normal nozzle). Bed was so comfortable (brochure says a rounded queen, it is a rounded king), and the balcony was big enough for two chairs and two loungers. Oh...and there was a jet tub in the room which we never used. Butler delivered afternoon snacks every afternoon (the selection always changed), coffee maker in the room and mini fridge. Tonnes of storage, and a wall safe. It was close walk to the GYM and the SPA, however opposite end of the ship then the Haven dining room and concierge (not a big issue)
