Overall the Star is a lovely ship with superb restaurants - except the Market Cafe - and great entertainment. We were however disappointed with Norwegians change of itinerary due to a Venetian regatta. A regatta that is held every year on the first Sunday in September so there is no way they didn't know about it, We missed the 5pm sailaway from Venice which I was really looking forward to, it was delayed until 8pm by which time it was dark and raining, very disappointing. We then did not stop at Kotor, another place I was looking forward to, but stopped at a port called Bar. A very poor substitute, nothing there and not particularly picturesque or interesting. No compensation for the change from Norwegian just a letter saying not their fault. If I had known of this change, which they must have known about, I would have booked another date so black mark for NCL. Interestingly the other ships leaving Venice the same day carrying out a similar intineary went to Kotor...........

Pool area and surrounding bars and restaurant very busy and crowded bit like glorified Butlins and often loud music playing. Don't see why they have kids slides going into the pool when there is a similar designated kids pool at rear of ship. Lots of beds but despite notices saying it won't happen they are reserved from early morning, late risers beware!

Negative over, the rest of the itinerary was very good. Very busy in Santorini, would have walked back down rather than wait for the cable car, an hour of queuing.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Excellent cabin, spacious considering on a ship. Nice balcony and shower was great. Lots of shelves and places to store stuff. Good position in centre of boat so not too far to walk to public areas. Great cabin steward.
