We chose the cruise because of the route and time frame. The boat was new and lovely. it was kept completely clean at all times but very unobtrusively. Cabins were well attended to. All crew were friendly and helpful. Delightful bartending crew. High marks for food and dining experiences. Included tours were very nice and very informative. Easy to attend but plenty of time for personal time and exploration.

The landscapes were beautiful and pretty much what we expected with vineyards and olive groves. This was a rather quiet and lazy route with only other river boats and personal craft so it was very relaxing.

We've done almost 20 ocean cruises - this was our first river cruise and we expect to do many more. We asked many of our fellow passengers to help rate Emerald to their other experiences and most rated it higher or at least on par with some of the other better known lines. We will start with Emerald for our next. Probably will do a busier route next time.
