Departing from SF was a big deal because we could drive there from our house. Alaska is one of those places you see on TV and always say, "Someday I want to go there!" 10 days of the care free life sounded awfully good. Princess seemed to have a reputation as a much better line than say Carnival. That all being said, here are our group's collective observations of this ship, cruise line, ports, service, and more:

❏ Food was better than carnival. A lot better.

❏ Bible study every day.... this is weird and non-inclusive for everyone who isn't a christian.

Cabin Review

Interior

We had an interior cabin with a family of 4. It is what it is and I won't complain other than to say that the toilet system failed 3 times and had to be fixed externally from our room. That was annoying to say the least. The crew seemed to act as though it was just a normal thing that happened all the time. It's some sort of vacuum system that just seems to have issues.

The room steward was excellent though and pulls the average up considerably.
