We, 3 couples, all adult and no children, went on this cruise since we have never been to AK and wanted to see the region.

Grand Princess was recommended by a friend who went earlier in the summer and we took him up on his advice. Our experience was great. Embarkation was a breeze once we got past the traffic jam to get us into Pier 27 in SF. The ship looks grand from the outside and once we got in, we were not disappointed. All 3 couples agreed on our assessment of each of our cabins. Our luggage was delivered promptly to our cabin. Our cabin, although a mini-suite had adequate space for us. Our cabin steward was wonderful as he kept up our room constantly and everything we requested was deliver promptly,

We took all our meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner, in the dining room every chance we got and we were never disappointed. The wait staff was fantastic and service was impeccable. They made the dining experience wonderful. The executive chef even made special dishes for us one night that were not on the menu when we requested it. Dining was so good there was no need to go to the specialty dining restaurants.
