Last Viking cruise we went on we had the large Explorer Suite at the back, very noise, it is right over the engines and going through a lock at night shook you out of bed. The smoking area is at the back of the boat so the rooms deck was in-usable unless you wanted to sit in cigarette smoke. Avoid these expensive suites.

This time we decided for those reason to have a suite..........mistake number 2! Suites are on the 3rd floor and 5.00am some "person" starts running round the jogging track on the top floor. The lights rattle, the footfalls sound like sonic booms. Asked for it to be stopped and what happened.....well that ran at 11.30 at night! Crew didn't want to upset the guests running even though they had been told 8am - 8pm. Come on Viking insulate the running track or get rid of it.

Aegar was a substitute ship for the one we should have been on which was delayed because of low water on the Danube. Day trips were chaotic, took us to a church under construction with poor lighting.....why? Roads narrow and bumpy unsuitable for coaches so we were thrown around at breakneck speed. In the end after day 3 we stopped going on the tours. We have just transferred back to the original ship we should have been on so let's see what happens......watch this space!

Difficult to feel positive when the noise night and morning was an underwhelming experience!
