The high level of service, decor, Nordic spa and cuisine make the Viking Star feel like the Four Seasons Hotel on the sea. City tours with local guides in every port, no unnecessary announcements broadcast on the ship, luxuriously comfortable bedding, enriching lectures, a wonderful cruise director and the expertise of the general manager rounded out the journey and far outweighed the occasionally piped in elevator music (the only negative I can find).

A gorgeous running track around Deck 2 made for an invigorating start to each day and the staff organized the land excursions with precision and efficiency. No waiting in lines or instructions barked through bullhorns... just a lovely experience at every turn.

We will book another tour on the Viking Star or a sister ship without a second thought. The Viking management and crew have proven that they will not disappoint.

Cabin Review

Cabin Penthouse Veranda

Perfect size cabin. Enough room to enjoy room service without feeling cramped and the veranda was lovely. The furniture sits a bit low, but that's a minor issue.

Port Reviews

Stavanger

Breathtakingly gorgeous scenery.

Eidfjord

The film at the Nature Center was lovely, but the taxidermy throughout the exhibit spaces was a bit grotesque for my taste.

Bergen

Beautiful Stave church visit, brief tour of the Grieg home and the perfect amount of time to tour the property independently. Concert was first rate.
