We traveled with other family members to Alaska primarily to see the glaciers and other scenery. We stopped in Juneau, Skagway and Victoria and viewed the Tracy Arms glacier from the ship. The maneuvering of the ship in the limited space of the fiord was amazing. We took the White Pass Scenic railway trip from Skagway and the scenery was picturesque. The old prospecting town was very interesting and the history of the area was of particular interest to me. The dining experience was especially enjoyable. Our family ate in Sapphire Deck 3. Our waiter at table #125 and #126 was Michael and our assistant waiter at these same tables was Dennis. We appreciated their attention to our needs and the service they provided, and will highly recommend them to anyone who travels on this ship. We took may photographs to remember our trip and the good times we had. On the return trip we stopped at Victoria. We had such a good time that we plan to return to this city and spend more time examining the sights. My wife and I talked about how each day was an enjoyable experience that will be remembered always.
Our cabin on Deck 8 was adequate for our needs. The bed was larger than expected and comfortable. The room was well maintained by staff at all times during the cruise. Our stateroom attendant was Imade Agus Saputra with whom we were very pleased. We would recommend him to others.
Walked the town and took the tram to the top of Mount Roberts and hiked trails on the mountain. Very enjoyable.
Hiked the city to the government buildings downtown. Took many pictures and enjoyed a nice meal at a local restaurant. Hiked the harbor pier. We plan to return to Victoria to spend more time in the city.
We boarded the ship and sailed out from the harbor. It was a beautiful day as the weather was perfect.
