We just returned from our Alaskan cruise aboard the Norwegian Jewel. We had a group of 10 in 3 rooms. One room was a suite, one a mini suite and one a balcony room. We were very pleased with our cruise. The shore excursions were all incredible. The scenery and itinerary were fantastic. The only things that could use a bit improvement, in our opinions, were the quality of the food and the amount of time spent at the actual ports. The food in the specialty restaurants was (as expected) significantly better than the buffet. The buffet was not up to our expectations. The other (complimentary) restaurants were good. We were disappointed in the quality of the meats in the Brazilian steakhouse, but the sushi restaurant was excellent! The pool areas and bars were easily accessible and not overly crowded. We were able to find areas on the ship easily that were more private as well. Overall, we were all very pleased.
