We chose this cruise because of its itinerary, and we were not disappointed by the ports of call. It's our third cruise with RC . We were on Brilliance last year and this ship is virtually identical which helped with settling in- the colony club is the safari club and the Pacifica theatre is the tropical theatre. The year before we were on Splendour, which was sold to Thomsons. So small ship cruisers thus far. We are a couple in our fiftys and I have mobility problems at the moment. We are fairly tolerant people.
Our only big issue was the food. It was a bit bland and a bit cool, and at the end of the day we thought of it as fuel. The windjammer is the windjammer and you could have fair or mediocre depending on your choice of food. We ate there for breakfast and lunch. More often than not it was mostly on the cold side.
Reflections the service was excellent but the food was pretty average at best. They had crab on the menu one day which the waiter advised against as they didn't have the proper seafood cutlery. It's a simple fix this one - either don't put crab on the menu or buy some cutlery. Meat was cooked in two ways medium rare , or medium well. I had the rib of beef twice - once raw and once cooked, cold and tasteless. The French onion soup was the hottest dish I had and was lovely ( had it 3 times) the duck a la orange was also good and the rack of lamb (3 chops) was excellent. My husbands best meal were the sliders, and a4 shrimp salad, the rest was pretty guff. It's not all bad, but something which needs addressed.
As said above mostly clean but not shiny clean. Dust where there should not be.
Cabin quite small but absolutely fine for 2 people plenty of storage
Shower hot and has doors which is far better than the clingy curtains on Brilliance and Splendour.
Balcony fine apart from the sun glare off the canopy for the deck below. Situated close to centrum.
Fabulous place but beware pickpockets are rife and as you wander around with your tour sticker you look like a target.
