Our cruise aboard the Rhapsody of the Seas has been a great advertisement for this type of holiday and we will be back for more. We went as a group of 10, in three staterooms, and enjoyed the RC operated tours at each port. The Cruise Director Patricio and his team should be singled out for praise as their enthusiasm and humour were infectious. There were some really excellent evening entertainment acts put up (the best for us was the performances by the Graffiti Classics strings group). The weather was excellent for the Med for our cruise (except for one day when there was a thunderstorm at Crete and most of the day was a washout). It is a busy cruise, with a port every day and loads of places of interest to visit, so make the most of the tour. The food on the ship was mainly good. The Windjammer buffet set up was really large with almost a 100 dishes ! But the quality varied...the vegetarian food taste and choice could be improved. The choice on the main dining was good and quality better than the Windjammer offerings. This is an older ship and that showed as the staterooms looked a bit tired. We would strongly recommend staterooms with balconies as that made a big difference. The inside rooms looked smaller and I am sure were a bit claustrophobic with no views or fresh air. One has to be careful with the "extras" on offer ... like the alcoholic drinks, photos, drinks for the shore, paying restaurants etc....else additional costs could easily rack up. Some of the entertainment were a hit and a miss, but overall were very good. In summary, a great holiday, and we will be thinking keenly on our next cruise soon.
