We had a great time on this ship. I appreciate the size of it. For the first time since I began cruising, I didn't need to take any motion sick meds. Embarkation was smooth- we waited until around 2pm (it started at noon). We were met at the taxi by baggage handlers who took our luggage and waited less than 5 mintues to board.
Our room was an upgraded balcony, partially obstructed. You could see a lifeboat next to us, but who cares? The extra space was great. We spent a lot of time on the balcony.
We ate in main dining every night at the 8:15pm seating. It gave us time to explore on shore and then nap and clean up for dinner.
I think this is the largest cabin we've had. We had a love seat and a table plus our queen size bed. The extra foot or so on the balcony made relaxing easier.
This was a great city to just walk around on your own. I wanted to climb the wall but it 105 degrees out. We took a taxi to Jaz beach for 15 Euro. The beach was lovely and chair rental was 10 euro for 2 and an umbrella. We got taken by a taxi on the way back- even if it is metered, negotiate your price. Ultimately we payed 35 euro to get back but it would have been 60 or 70 if my husband hadn't thrown a fit. We got kicked out of the cab just outside of the old town.
We booked a walking tour through Viator before we arrived. It was great.
We spent the day wandering the city. We loved it.
