My husband and I took our 17 year old daughter on a cruise to celebrate her high school graduation. It was her choice. Norwegian offered an itinerary and price that worked out for our budget.

We drove to Miami, stayed at the Courtyard Airport West Doral, got the cruise and park package and left the car there. It included 2 one way transfers to the port. Everything was smooth. We got to the port at 11 am and were eating lunch on the Escape at 11:50 am. SMOOTH, and seamless check in and boarding.

The ship was so clean and the staff were so friendly. It was a full cruise. 5300 people they said, which brings me to my least favorite part of the ship- two pools. It's the first week of July and there is one kid pool and one adult pool. Come on!! The adult pool was always packed like a can of sardines. At least there was the grottoes in Spice H2O. It's a semi enclosed rocky area with rain coming down. That was my favorite outdoor area.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BE

We chose a balcony cabin and loved it. Having the balcony was a big deal to us and worth the extra money. I don't like to feel confined. The cabin was snug for three people but there was plenty of storage and it worked out fine. My least favorite part of the cabin was the shower. It was awkward and shaving my legs was a challenge. Our room steward was excellent too. He kept our room spotless.
