As we cruised Budapest to Amsterdam last year, we decided to cruise the other direction on the Danube.

The scenery was nothing special and I thought I was going to see something similar to last years cruise and was somewhat disappointed. I think Emerald slightly "over egged the advertising" of this cruise.

We found the excursions to be nothing special, but interesting. Unfortunately the former Soviet countries seemed to be unchanged and there were too many reminders of the wars that had taken place. Apart from Budapest and Belgrade the other ports of call were very drab. Read more
