We chose Norwegian for its flexible dining and casual attire. We specifically chose the Jewel for the itinerary which included Tracy Arm Fjord.
The cruise staff was wonderful. Service was superb. The stateroom was comfortable, functional and clean. Despite its small size it was more comfortable than a motel room. The food was wonderful. We loved the choice of food options and being able to eat when we liked and to choose from 5 restaurants of where to eat.
We are very disappointed for a number of reasons. First, the ship did not cruise the advertised itinerary. This was a once in a lifetime trip for us and required a large portion of our savings. The ship did not sail on the inside of Vancouver Island as advertised and it did not cruise Tracy Arm Fjord as advertised. We were very disappointed that we missed what we spent lots of money to see. Second, the cruise was not all inclusive and we felt nickel and dimed at every turn. First, is the drink package. We found out after booking and paying in full for the cruise that only water, tea and coffee are included. If you want juice or soda it is extra $62/person extra. Also, the entertainment was not all inclusive either. Bingo was $40 a card, Let's Make a Deal also cost additional funds. On day 5 of the 7 day cruise they informed us that a new service fee had been implemented April 1, 2017 (our payment deadline was March 12, 2017) to the tune of $16.99 per person per day. I don't even think it is legal to add a fee like that after the cruise was paid in full. Classes in the fitness center were also extra and after paying for a package of 3 spin classes they only held 2 classes.
Cabin was comfortable and clean perfect for 3.
