We sailed in two cabins. My mother and I in one room and my children (20 and 15) in a room next door. Overall the cruise was good. We had My Time Dining in Grande and were at different tables most nights. We found servers to range from inattentive to great. The food was good if you stuck with the server recommendations. The only thing I got that I didn't like was the chocolate souffle. It had a strange texture and very little flavor. My mother didn't like the beef short rib or the spaghetti with meat sauce on the classics menu. My daughter didn't like the mushroom risotto. Overall, the beef was the best including the tenderloin, prime rib, and veal. My son preordered his dinners due to a dairy allergy. A manager will bring the next nights menu to the table and take the order. We had three different managers in Grande work with our son. Only the female manager (sorry I didn't get her name) was really on top of things. Some of his dinners were not right when they came out or were brought out before the rest of us had eaten our starters.
I was a little surprised by what I felt was a lack of non-pool related activities on sea days. I got burnt early in the cruise so I avoided the sun. There were usually one or two organized things to do that I was interested in, but that didn't fill up the daytime. When I was on Carnival last summer it seemed there was more than I could fit in. The evenings were great at there was stuff happening all over the ship.
The cabin has the bed by the closet. No noise issues. Our cabin attendant Jean was wonderful. There was plenty of storage for the two of us. The window was nice and big. Close to the aft elevators. Overall the space seemed smaller than cabins I've been in before, but it wasn't an issue.
