Check-in in comparison to other cruise lines was very chaotic. Upon entering our cabin, we found layers of dust everywhere. This was definitely not from one day old. After reporting to the front desk, they sent somebody to the cabin to check. The supervisor and the cabin attendant noticed the problem and apologized. After dinner the three places that we had showed, were cleaned but the rest of the cabin was still not clean enough.
After reporting the problem again, we were contacted by the hotel manager. We showed the layers of dust, which meant they had not cleaned thoroughly the cabin for several months. Under the bed, we even found wrapping foil from when the bed was installed in the cabin. It had never been removed! According to the hotel manager this was not normal, they would immediately fix the problem. After three days the cabin was clean.
Unfortunately the rest of the ship was not better. The elevators were always dirty, sticky. Remains of food laying on the ground. The corridors were filthy all day long. Breakfast trays were still standing in the room corridors during the evening. They had never been taken away. We understand this is a big ship, but apparently they struggle to keep her clean with all the passengers aboard. Something which is not a problem with different cruise lines.
Small compared to other cruise lines and other ships from NCL. Dust everywhere...
Brandnew island, clean, beautiful. You need to pay for drinks/food and your 'beverages package' is not valid on the island.
