Embarkation and disembarkation on the Scenic Jade was a breeze...and all too easy and very organised. The ship is luxuriously appointed and my cabin was everything I had expected... my butler, the lovely Hotel Manager Alex, looked after me attentively during the cruise (as I was travelling solo) and went above and beyond on a couple of occasions organising something special for me...We started off our river cruise with a day exploring Budapest and some of this city's little gems...back on the ship the food offered to us over the 8 days was always delicious and 2 of those nights (over the course of the cruise) each guest was invited to a private dining table experience and a dinner at their Portobello Italian restaurant...there was always plenty to eat and drink as it was 'all inclusive'...as for the entertainment, you could either participate in whatever live entertainment was on offer (some of my friends did hilarious Lederhosen dancing one night ...!!) or if you wanted something quieter you could go outside to the open front area or the rooftop deck for a more intimate atmosphere. Our Cruise Director Frank had us all organised, making sure we where all where we were supposed to be...the onshore excursions were all really interesting and conducted by knowledgeable guides... the ones I had were also very entertaining..!! The service on the ship was impeccable and I would like to thank ALEX, Frank, Ivan, Dodi, Almir, Borys and Ozan who all looked after me in one way or another and made for a hugely fun trip...would do it again in a heartbeat..!! xo
