Sail Date: Dec 2016

A group of 12 of us aged 25-50 years old chose this ship because it was a new, large ship being added to Carnival's fleet, and we thought it would be great to celebrate two birthdays during New Year's Eve. New Year's Eve? Gotta be a blast right? Not. The ship was full of a much older crowd with scooters, wheelchairs and walkers everywhere. There was hardly any activities other than bingo...everywhere. One could stand in line for the Skyride for hours, then be told it's closed because it's windy, not to mention, it's only open until like 4 or 5pm. Other ships that we've sailed on were fun, entertaining and exciting. This ship was not. It seemed as though the ship is so large that Carnival/Cruise Director was not prepared for the volume of people to plan for. One side of the ship was usually very quiet and boring. There was so much hype and expectations for this ship. Don't believe it. We're going back to the Breeze, Magic, Victory, etc. A total letdown. Eventually, we did everything we could to make our own fun. Although the food was great, service was great, entertainment and activities were at an all time low and I would NOT sail the Vista again.
