Celebrity should be disgraced by the quality of your rooms.

To put it into a short paragraph - 'Our best experience of our 14 night South China Sea cruise was the 2 nights we stayed at the Hilton Hotel at the Beijing port'. I think that sums up the bad experience.

Like our cruise with Celebrity last year (when the boat was taken down by Rotavirus and we were all prisoners in our staterooms) I found Celebrity have NOT learnt any lessons and still allow poor hygiene from the guests. If guests are physically ill and showing clinical signs they should NOT be allowed to eat in the restaurants but AGAIN Celebrity allowed this to happen, just like it did last year. Fortunately for Celebrity, the whole boat was not taken down by the rotavirus BUT they're were still many sicknesses including myself (I don't smoke or drink and eat healthy foods, exercise everyday and am married to a doctor so not only are my personal hygiene protocols very high but I rarely get ill - if I ever get sick then it is amazing). So the fact that even I caught a cold says that Celebrity's hygiene protocols are substandard. I self quarantined myself and ensured I did not pass on any of my germs. When this doesn't happen Celebrity should enforce this for the goodness of the majority of it's guests rather than worrying about upsetting the few.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class

Cabin A1

The room is very old and the heating does not work properly BUT this is only a problem if you are in a cold area. There is also a terrible draft which I ended up blocking each evening with cushions and towels. The toilet would not flush every time which was obviously an issue and the room was generally old, especially the bathroom.

Port Reviews

Shanghai

Shanghai is amazing. The Bund is the best part
