We've cruised Carnival and other lines before so this wasn't our first rodeo but it was the first time cruising with our 11 month old. Unfortunately the experience of mediocre at best making me not want to cruise Carnival anymore. Felt discriminated against before and after the cruise! Details below:

Embarkation: The head luggage handler was rudely delivering a message telling cruisers that giving him our luggage was just so he could earn tips...that he wasn't going to repeat himself to the crowd even though he was clearly only speaking to one side of said crowd, the white side and turning his back on my family. Sir, we give you large pieces of luggage so people aren't lugging it up themselves at the escalator and elevators making embarkation slow. In the end we didn't get them our luggage but we weren't the only family who didn't because I saw many many people with large pieces of luggage hauling it themselves. The escalator supervisor was screaming to be careful because heavy luggage can stop the escalator. He wouldn't let me up the escalator with my folded stroller so I had to wait in line for the elevator while the rest of my party left without me!! (Back to that in Debarkation)

Dining: Our party got sick halfway through. At least 4 of us got a stomach bug from the food in the dining room. Even the baby threw up! It was horrible. We had early seating but we were never served any food until 6:30 so we always missed the 7:30 show. We usually arrive right when the dining room opens so the one time we went at 7pm one of the dining room managers said they couldn't serve appetizers because we were late. Surprise to us since they didn't serve us until all the other larger tables were served anyway! Finally I complained and that one night I complained we were able to eat and leave by 7pm! I guess the other tables were more important. However.........The Steakhouse was amazing in both food and service. Pizza on the lido was consistently good too. They don't open all sides on the lido sometimes so be prepared for long lines. Wish the food on lido opened earlier and closed later.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

We're not picky about our cabin but I was pleasantly surprised to find the bed was pretty comfortable! The only issue was that the door to the balcony didn't close tight enough so it was rattling all night.
