Loved being on the Equinox for the Mardi Gras cruise. New Orleans was amazing. Getting off the ship after arriving in NO was a mess. Disembarkation was later, due to docking issues -- and was right in the middle of dinner times. Many did not dine and chose to leave the ship the first night. Upon return, we were starved and wandered up to the buffet, where the offerings were slim. They should have realized that many did not dine and made arrangements to have the food available longer. Other than that, everything was great! The ship is beautiful and the staff excellent. The main dining room was unimpressive. We only ate there once; they did not get my meal right. Most nights we were not impressed with the menu and chose to eat in the buffet. The bartenders on this ship were excellent! We sailed on the Summit last October and were very disappointed in the bar staff. Loved the glass blowing show.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We just relax at a local hotel prior to getting on ship.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We arranged a jet ski tour through Fat Fish Adventures -- stingrays, snorkeling, starfish point.

Costa Maya

We arranged to go to an "all inclusive" Great beach.

Cozumel

We went to Nachi, an all inclusive with great food, open bar, beach and pool.

New Orleans

Spent our time wandering. Had a great time!
