We had done this same itinerary on the Emerald in 2012 and thought it worth a second look. Plus we wanted to see the new Royal Princess. As we do more cruises,(this is our 7th), the Wow factor is less, but other than a few glitches this trip was very enjoyable.
-We dined in the Concerto dining as anytime diners. There was some confusion about reservations the first night, but after that, we settled in and thoroughly enjoyed the food, the wine and the wait staff. Ate our breakfasts at Horizon Court, where my wife had trouble initially getting grapefruit. Seems they hide them. The omelette station and the food were good ,but ordinary. Didn't change much day to day. The food at the International Cafe wasn't as good as I remember from previous Princess cruises, but the desserts were awesome.
-We like to spend time at the rear of the ship because it's less crowded, but were disappointed that there was no pool there like on other ships. We understand this problem was corrected on the Regal.
The cabin steward did a fine job. The balcony was small and just above the tenders, which kind of took away from the ambiance. There's never a good spot for the side chair, but otherwise nicely appointed.
Been there many times. The tendering is a pain, the beach is nice, the barbeque was lousy
Went to Klein Bonaire ,which was very nice. It was very windy, though, and the sea was choppy, so snorkeling was difficult.
Took a cab to the beach. The waves were huge, but so was the wind, which pelted you with sand. Spent some time shopping downtown ,which was enjoyable.
