This was my 20th cruise, having sailed on RC, Carnival ,Costa, Princess and Celebrity. While they have all been fun, this trip on the Getaway was exceptional because it was different. Let me explain

The embarkation process was a bit different Check in was quick but when you went upstairs you had to sit in a waiting area until your number was called. It took about 20 minutes only but it was really more organized that way.

The buffet was a bit crowded but only on the first day of check in I would suggest eating that first day in Taste or Savor...it wasn't crowded at all and we had a great lunch. We never had trouble finding a seat at the buffet and the food and the choices were terrific. Every day was something new...at around 3:30 they brought out some other entries for you to try. What I liked about the buffet room was that there were plenty of large round tables for families/groups to eat at.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window

Cabin OB

Because of the deal we go we stayed on deck 5 with a large window. While we always have booked a balcony on a high floor, we were worried that we would not be happy with this room but we were wrong. It seemed larger than most, the hallway on deck five is much wider than the others with balconies, and we were close to EVERYTHING!! Our cabin steward Mustaka (MOOSE) was wonderul.
